Understanding Report Periods

ACE reports use accounting periods based on when your store closes. Understanding these periods helps you get the right data:

Period What It Contains When to Use
Current Short (Today) Transactions since the last daily close To see today's activity so far
Previous Short (Yesterday) Yesterday's complete data Most common - to review yesterday's business
Current Long (This Week) Data since the last weekly close (not including today) Week-to-date totals
Previous Long (Last Week) Last week's complete data To review last week's totals
Tip: If a store hasn't had any transactions today, the "Current Short" period will be empty. This is normal - it means no sales have occurred since the last daily close.
